NASA Moonstream rendering by Anthony Sims
U.S. college students are invited to design a technology that will help further space exploration and development. The contest specifically calls for designs within the following technology categories: autonomous operations, entry/descent/landing, human factors, power/propulsion, and robotics.
This initial contest is a paper design only (i.e. you do not need to actually build the instrument). If funding allows, the winning students will be invited to build their design during an awarded internship. The contest expects to offer paid late summer or fall student internships with NASA Field Centers to members of top scoring teams. Where internships are not feasible, the contest may offer travel stipends to attend program field tests or cash awards.
Interested students should email a notice of intent to Dr. Elizabeth Ward as soon as possible.
